As a self-proclaimed podcast expert and host of my own show, I'd like to think I know a thing or two about podcasts. Here are some that I can't get enough of:
1) Teenager Therapy
I randomly discovered this podcast on Spotify one day sophomore year while on my way to school. Immediately the name had me hooked. It's hosted by friends Gael, Thomas, Isaac
, Mark and Kayla. Every time I listen to an episode, I genuinely feel like I went to therapy with a bunch of my friends. I'm really appreciative of the fact that not only is it real stories told by real young adults my age, but that this show benefits people of all ages, providing insight to how teens think. I actually have this show and it's creators to thank for being one of the things that inspired me to start my own podcast!
2) Chrisley Confessions
Two of my favorite reality television show stars, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are the hosts of this hilarious podcast. They always keep it real, give updates on their lives, are open about topics like religion and give listeners advice, it's a win-win!
3) Pretty Basic
Hosted by best friends Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz, the social media stars give a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to be influencers. I love hearing about how they create content for their YouTube and Instagram, and they actually talk a lot about the business and work aspects of being in the industry, stuff I'd never even thought about! They also have hilarious and relatable dating stories and have many guests on the show. There's so many moments that'll have you laughing and saying, "Me too!", you have to check it out.
4) Alex Aiono: Let's Get Into It
Fun fact: I actually saw Alex Aiono (the host of this podcast) perform live when he opened for Sabrina Carpenter on her "De-Tour" tour a few years ago. He's an actor, singer, and has a genuine personality that shines through in all his projects. On this podcast, he has honest conversations with a variety of guests. Be sure to check out his YouTube channel and new Netflix movie, "Finding Ohana"!
Honorable Mentions:
The Sister Diary- Maddie and Lauren Orlando, sisters of singer-sensation Johnny Orlando, share their stories in this show, giving insight on events in their teen and young adult lives.
Real Tawk with Tommy Bracco- Need a laugh? Well, former Big Brother contestant Tommy Bracco, his co-host Angelica Conti, and Phil always provide while discussing topics such as the most recent news in reality television.
And, as always, thank you so much for reading and I'll write to you later. Bye!
HUGS,
Maddie
